A WALKING DAY AROUND LESTIAC AND CAPIAN
Walk duration: 1 day
Walking distance: around 12 kms
Dates: on request, for groups of 4 persons and more
Fare: quotation depending on the number of attendees
A one-day walk to discover the hillsides on the right bank of the Garonne river, where Bordeaux burgesses built their holiday houses in the 19th century for the beautiful landscapes.
Steep slopes (at the region's scale!) will lead you at the top of the plateau to discover the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux vineyard, which offers beautiful views to the south over the Garonne valley and the Landes forest.
During this walk, you'll have the opportunity to admire the romanesque churches of Lestiac and Haut-Langoiran, as well as the Langoiran medieval castle and many beautiful old houses and manors.
Between the plateau vineyard and the valley swampy vine plots, you will grasp the vineyard history of the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, and you will enjoy today's and tomorrow's wines while visiting estates.
