Walk the vineyards of LIBOURNAIS

Libourne, second largest city in Gironde, nested at the confluence of Dordogne and Isle rivers, is surrounded with worldwide famous vineyards: Pomerol and Lalande-de-Pomerol; Saint-Emilion and its satellites Montagne, Saint-Georges, Lussac and Puisseguin; Fronsac and Canon-Fronsac,  and we can also add Côtes de Castillon and Côtes de Francs.
Only red wines are produced there, with a majority of Merlot, and they are among the most renowned in the world.
But it is also a splendid area to visit, with the Dordogne valley and its fields of vine and corn, the south oriented slopes with their terrace vineyards, the Saint-Emilion plateau where are located the most famous growths, and of course the medieval city of Saint-Emilion.

We offer up to now 2 walks to discover this area :

A walk around the medieval city of Saint-Emilion over one day, which can be shared in 2 half-day walks

A ramble at the far east of the Saint-Emilion appellation area, at the limit of the Côtes de Castillon vineyard.
